Who We Are
Human Transformation CIC is a UK-based Community Interest Company dedicated to improving the mental wellbeing of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants.
We understand that forced migration is not only a physical journey, but a psychological one — often accompanied by trauma, grief, chronic stress, identity loss, and social isolation.
Our approach recognises the long-term impact of trauma and focuses on restoring safety, dignity, and agency.
Our Values
• Trauma-informed and ethical practice
• Cultural sensitivity and respect
• Empowerment rather than dependency
• Human dignity and choice
• Community integration and belonging
Our Approach. Trauma-Informed Support
Trauma affects how people think, feel, relate, and make decisions. Our services are designed to work with this reality — not against it.
We prioritise:
• emotional and psychological safety
• clear boundaries and transparency
• collaborative, non-judgemental relationships
• pacing that respects the client’s readiness
We do not pathologise trauma responses. Instead, we help people understand their experiences and develop healthier ways of coping and moving forward.
Our Commitment. Safeguarding & Ethics
Safeguarding is central to everything we do.
We maintain clear policies and procedures to protect vulnerable adults and ensure:
• confidentiality and data protection
• appropriate boundaries
• escalation pathways when there is risk of harm
Our work complies with UK safeguarding standards, GDPR requirements, and ethical best practice.
Impact. Making a Difference
Our work focuses on meaningful outcomes, including:
• reduced emotional distress
• improved sense of safety and stability
• increased resilience and self-efficacy
• improved wellbeing and social connection
We use feedback and evaluation to continually improve our services and demonstrate impact.
